When, at Pasco High School’s Football game Friday night, it was announced that the Cheerleaders would be holding a car wash the following morning at 9 AM, many wondered if they would brave the frigid weather. Well there they were, out side of the Advanced Auto Parts washing cars and trucks to raise funds on Nov. 17, in Dade City.

If so, you missed a great event! More than 20 local residents joined Captain Scott Keith and Gary Guy of Tampa Bay Inshore Charters for Get Out and Fish Tampa Bay, a free community fishing workshop. “This was a great day for the fishing community” said Captain Keith.

Pasco Coaches utilize Internet to pirate the airwaves with sports news
Look out Pasco County, the folks at Pasco High School now has its own internet radio show that fans can tune in to each Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Hosted by Pirates girls basketball coach John Edwards, the show was helped by the fact that the Pirates were able to pull off a come from behind win against the Land O’Lakes Gators Friday night at home. The show and featured football coach Tom McHugh and members of his coaching staff going over details of the Land O’Lakes game, their team, and their upcoming game against Sebring Friday night.

Athlete’s Who Care put on their 2007 Tri Fever & Babes & Bums Triathlon on August 4. Over 400 participants showed up on a beautiful hot sunny day to compete in running, bicycling, and swimming at the Land O’ Lakes Rec Center Complex. The group worked in conjunction with the Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department, the Pasco County Sheriffs Office, Emergency Services, and local Civic and Community Organizations.

The shooter, played by Sheriff’s Explorer Chris Ryan, 17 of Berkley Prep. is taken in to custody by Pasco Sheriff Corporal Arthur Morrison and Corporal Mike McKnight in exercise held at Wesley Chapel High School on August 1, 2007, by the Training Department of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office in order to train school resource officers and officers from the Dade City and Zephyrhills Police Departments on the best procedures for handling emergencies.
Arthur Morrison 5658…Pasco Sheriff Corporal Arthur Morrison and Corporal Tuni Roach, learn to search the hallways for a shooter that will reduce the likelihood of death or injury to themselves, innocent students and even the shooters themselves. The exercise was held at Wesley Chapel High School on August 1, 2007, by the Training Department of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
