Bulls on the Green Golf Tournament

Benefit for Basketball Program Noon registration, 1:00 PM Shotgun Start At the Links of Lake Bernadette  The tournament is called "Bulls on the Green" and all proceeds go to help the boys basketball team at Wiregrass Ranch High School. $240 per Foursome, $65 Singles. Black History Month celebration at Wiregrass High School

WRHS students Cheryl Edwards and Christian Williams hosted "A Celebration of Culture:  Song, Word and Dance" held at Wiregrass Ranch High School Gymnasium Friday, February 29, 2008.  This event showcased student singers, dancers and poets honoring Black History Month. This event was the schools grand finale for the Black History Month celebration at WRHS, which included daily announcements noting "Today in History", a film festival, an art installation, a poster contest and various displays throughout each Learning Community. 

Superintendent Fiorentino stated, “It is very important to our district to celebrate the many different cultures represented in our schools.  I am truly excited for the students and community members of Wiregrass Ranch High to participate in such a wonderful event.”  Elyse Houston participated in the celebrating buy reading a moving poem, which brought some students to their feet.

Friday, February 28, Wiregrass High School had their first season win over Gulf High School. The Bulls showed great teamwork and execution to bring the win 11-1. Following the win coach Kristopher Parrish stated, “The team executed what they have practiced, which gave us the win.”

Wiregrass High School students Katie Middleton and Nicholette Clanc learn about nature first hand from their Science teacher Jill Hrovoski at Crystal Springs Preserve south of Zephyrhills, on February 8. … Wiregrass High School students John Davis, Jordan Clements and Toni Clements have located “Larry” the caterpillar (center) and marked his coordinates in their hand held device. Students from John Long MS will hopefully find Larry with those coordinates, unless he decides to pack his bags and move.  … Jessica Frankovitch of the Crystal Springs Preserve watches as Wiregrass High School student Brendan Phelps wades knee deep in cold fresh spring water to discover the type of creatures that reside there at the Park. His cohorts, Bryan Cohen, Brennan Moore and Robert Rieke will mark the coordinates on their geo cache units so students from John Long Middle school can locate them at a later date.
