Milly Figuereo and Jaime Hanna are Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders and were attending the NFL/Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick Competition held on June 21 at the District Park at Wesley Chapel. Local first place winners will advance to the Sectional Competition to be held in October/November. Sectional winners will be invited to compete in the Team Championship. The top four Team Championship scorers from all the first place finalists in each age group will advance to the National Finals. These winners and their families will travel to the Finals at an NFL playoff game in January.

Zephyrhills PPAL Fundraising

Bailey   Comstock, a student at Stewart Middle School, and volunteer mom Amy Comstock, were out collecting money for the newly revamped Zephyrhills Pal Football league that is now called Zephyrhills Pasco Pal Football (ZPPAL) after the former ZPAL Board of Directors voted to change its league affiliation to Mid Florida Football and Cheerleading Conference (MFFCC) from Pasco Police Athletic League (PPAL).  That league now plays in Lakeland but what about the local kids whom just want to play football and cheerlead locally?  The ZPPAL is starting over and needs uniforms, equipment, and everything.  They need local businesses to step up to help their league get started so lots of local youth can play their games.  If you can help, go to www.eteamz.com/zbulldogs, or call Marsha Decena at 813-714-1465.

     The teams are set for the 2007 PPAL Football Super Bowl, to be held November 17 in Dade City. The #2 ranked Land O’Lakes Varsity Gators defeated Western Pasco 12 to 2 Saturday November 10 and will be facing # 4 ranked New Port Richey in the Varsity Super Bowl. The # 2 ranked Jr Varsity Gators, who defeated Hudson 36 to 26, will face the # 1 ranked Lutz Chiefs in the JV Super Bowl. The # 4 ranked Jr Fly Weights from Dade City defeated Lutz 36 to 16 and will face the # 1 ranked team from New Tampa for the Title and finally the # 4 ranked Fly Weights from Dade City defeated New Port Richey 12 to 6 and will face # 3 ranked New Tampa. Good luck to all the teams and come out to the games and enjoy some great football action!
