WORKSHOP REELS IN FISHING ENTHUSIASTS

  Click >>> Here

By: Amber Guy – Freelance Writer

Ever wondered how the pro’s catch fish? Do you get confused when you walk down the fishing isle and see 14 types of line, 67 types of plastic bait, 36 different types of hooks and let’s not even try to explain the rows of poles? If so, you missed a great event!

More than 20 local residents joined Captain Scott Keith and Gary Guy of Tampa Bay Inshore Charters for Get Out and Fish Tampa Bay, a free community fishing workshop. “This was a great day for the fishing community” said Captain Keith. “Families, husbands and wives, grandfathers and grandsons gathered to talk about the great sport of fishing.”

But if you missed it, have no fear. Get Out and Fish Tampa Bay will run monthly throughout the fall at Feed Depot off Nebraska and Bearss Avenue. “My pop taught me how to throw a cast net at age 8” said Guy as he spoke to the audience.  “He sat on the porch and watched me throw into the grass. It took practice and to now pass on what I know to others is a great feeling”.

If you have a fishing question, visit www.tampabayinshore.com and ask Captain Keith. Your question maybe featured in The Fishing Hole report found monthly in Community News. …Captain Scott Keith and Gary Guy field fishing questions from the audience. Get Out and Fish Tampa Bay will run monthly throughout the fall. Visit www.tampabayinshore.com for a complete list of dates. Gary Guy instructs Pete Lynch of Pasco and his grandson Mathew Haff, an eighth grader at Rushe Middle School, how to throw a bait net. They each threw both bait and cast nets.
