Pete Bonk, an award winning acrylic and oil painter, was
the March artist of the month at Alexandria Art Gallery. In this show
Pete introduced a new series of framed life studies: drawings and
paintings of the nude human figure. Pete is a native of Cleveland, Ohio,
who currently resides in Lutz. He has studied painting at the Cleveland
Institute of Art, Ringling School of Art, and the University of South
Florida. The artist is a member of PAVA (Professional Association of
Visual Artists), the Art League of Manatee County and Artist's
Unlimited. Whether painting the nude human form or wild animals endowed
with endearing human traits, his art reflects his love of painting,
producing images that are bright, colorful, sometimes whimsical and
always thought provoking. Pete's unique and interesting art work is
collected by a number of patrons throughout the U.S.
