LEADING THE PACK!  Jamal Roberts, a student at Weightman Middle School, placed 1st in the 110 hurdles, 100m, and 2nd place in the long jump and 200m at the Conference Championship held Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Wesley Chapel High School. Thomas E. Weightman’s Assistant Principal Kirsten Joyer received flowers at the Honor Roll Celebration held at the Wesley Chapel Performing Arts Center for the announcement of her being awarded Pasco County’s Administrator of the Year Award.  Thomas E. Weightman Middle School held their Honor Roll Celebration at the Wesley Chapel Performing Arts Center, where three 8th grade students, Oscar Navarro, Laura Wang, and Josh Goodridge were recognized for their outstanding achievements.

Weightman Middle School Principal Shae Davis (second from right) was elated to cut the ribbon opening the new Outdoor Classroom on the school campus on April 25.  Thanks to major contributors including Sante Fe Concrete, Pueleo’s Concrete, and OldCastle Coastal, along with other contributors, a vision became a reality where teachers can bring their class outside to enrich student learning and students will even be able to use their computers thanks to the mobile wireless connection.  Also pictured are (from left): Virginia Hinze, Reading Specialist, Kirsten Joyer, Assistant Principal, Craig Henry, OldCastle Coastal, Luis Sandoval, Maricella and Jesse Sandoval, of Sante Fe Concrete, and Nicole Sciarratta, Assistant Principal.

    Weightman Wildcats faced off against the John Long Longhorns at Dr. John Long Middle School. By the end of the first half the longhorns were trailing the wildcats 21-20.  Under pressure from Longhorn Captain Jonathan Economou, Wildcat Davon Henry moves the ball down the court helping his team defeat the Longhorns with the final score of Wildcats 46 Longhorns 39.  …Getting the crowd pumped up was announcer Alex Luck Olkhovsky. (RT) Keeping him company were Abner Barrios on clock and Tracy Ferguson running the scoreboard.

  Sydney Sharp of Thomas Weightman Middle School Chorus sang “I whistle a happy tune” from the King and I at the schools’ presentation of “An evening with Doug Wilhelm” author of the best selling book “The Revealers” about school bulling. … Doug Wilhelm author of the best selling book “The Revealers” speaks to kids about the harm done to kids by school bulling. His book has struck a chord with students around the world and brought to light the importance of confronting it directly with students, teachers and parents working together as one. …The kids of Thomas Weightman Middle School stand together to fight school bulling utilizing song, poetry, drama, art and readings from the best selling book “The Revealers” about school bulling. The books’ author, Doug Wilhelm (in back) speaks at many schools and the students worked very hard bringing its story to life in a major way at the schools.

 7904…The trumpet, clarinet and percussion sections of the Thomas E. Weightman Middle School Band played outstandingly at the Spring Concert held at the Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel May 17th.  7937… Thomas E. Weightman Middle School, teacher of the year Adam Kennedy, provided the narration for “Armed Forces - The Pride of America!” with the Chorus, directed by Karen Malone. Individual veterans were honored for their service to our Country.  7868… The Saxophone and clarinet sections of the Thomas E. Weightman Middle School Band played great at the Spring Concert held at the Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel May 17th. 7888… The Flute section is part of the award winning Thomas E.
