2175-P… Dave Estabrook, (fifth from left) Principal of C
harles S. Rushe Middle School was joined by Pasco County School Administrators, Principals, the Rushe family, business associates, friends, and chamber members during the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce on September 21. As a photo of Chuck Rushe (the former Pasco County School District Chief Financial Officer who died of cancer last year) sat on the stage, people spoke about what a great man he was and how fitting it was that the $40 million school was named after him. The three-story building is beautiful and full of state of the art features including an Area of Refuge, which is a safe place to go in an emergency. An Assistant Principal is assigned to each floor and each floor has a Teacher Planning Area with a copy machine. 2170-P…Kathy Rusche, wife of the late Chuck Rusche, spoke to the audience at the dedication of the new middle school that was named after him on September 21. She said what an honor it was to have such a beautiful school named after him. Also pictured is Charles S. Rusche Middle School Principal Dave Estabrook (on left), Assistant Superintendent Jim Davis, and Rusche Assistant Principal Ron Michalak who is holding the sign that will be placed on the outside of the school. 2213-P… Patrick Rusche (being held by mom Rita Rusche), grandson of Chuck Rusche, blows kisses while on a tour of the beautiful new school after the ribbon cutting ceremony with the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce. Community leaders, chamber members, and School personnel attended the ceremony and were entertained by the school’s band and chorus who made their first public appearances.
