The Martinez girls have a wonderful season finishing out 5 - 0 this year. The two top scorers for the year were C. Gonzalez and T. Valley. They each showed tremendous heart and hustle each and every game. The Goalie, Courtney Keene also had a great season and like Gonzalez and Valley will be heading off to begin their high school careers and will be greatly missed on the team. There are still several 6th and 7th graders returning next year that will keep Martinez Soccer at a very competitive level. …Martinez Middle School soccer players (from left) Marley Opila and Lauren Garris separate the Hill Middle School player from the ball. Opila, who scored the game tying goal as well as the final penalty kick in the overtime win in the final game, will be leading the charge for next years team. Coach Wynn said that he could not ask for a better group of players. They were outstanding soccer players, as well as terrific students with great attitudes. The Diffeence between Toy Remote Cars and Hobby RC Cars
The RC cars and trucks that you see on TV and in toy stores offer a great way for young people to get involved in a rewarding hobby; however, there are few similarities between these toy-grade vehicles and those you'll find at a hobby shop. For example, most hobby-grade R/C vehicles are available as an unassembled kit. You build the vehicle from the ground up, piece by piece, so you'll know exactly how it works and how to fix it if something breaks. With few exceptions, you'll be able to make repairs yourself without having to send it back to the manufacturer because you'll know the vehicle inside and out. Also, hobby-grade R/C vehicles are generally made of better materials than toygrade vehicles, so they can withstand the severe punishment of a backyard obstacle course or a high-speed cartwheel at the local parking lot. Hobby kits are designed to provide long life and superior performance.
